As part of our Black History Month celebration, the Media Center is offering a focused research activity designed to help students engage deeply with the influential figures featured on our History Makers Wall.
During this activity, students will:
•            Select one prominent African American from the History Makers Wall
•            Use Cobb Digital Library (CDL) and/or Media Center resources to locate two       credible sources
•            Write a well‑developed paragraph explaining why this individual matters today

This activity supports several key instructional goals:
•            Research and information‑literacy skills
•            Evaluate credible sources
•            Connections between historical leaders and modern-day leaders
•            Writing skills
