The Pebblebrook Book Club provides a safe space for students to connect, learn and make new friends.
Expectations:
Students can learn about Book Club through PA announcements, posters with sign-up QR codes posted around campus, CTLS Media Classroom announcement board, rolling TV announcements in the main building, email.
Norms and Expectations:
Weekly meetings are held every Friday morning from 7:45 to 8:15 AM in the media center. Members are expected to attend and be prepared to discuss the current book.
Expectations:
- Students collectively choose the books they will read each semester.
- They will read 1-2 books per semester.
- Books are purchased for students to check out while in the Book Club.
- Activities include discussions, word searches, crossword puzzles, quizzes, crime scene re-enactments, bookmark making, casting characters for a movie adaptation, and book cover redesigns.
